Volunteering is core to the Striders identity. We work with park staff to perform semi-annual trail maintenance in Stevens Creek and Upper Stevens Creek parks. We also run aid stations each year at the following races:

Quicksilver 100k & 50k
On the 2nd Saturday of May, you’ll find many of us at our sister club’s race –
volunteering, pacing, and running. Our Bull Run aid station (mi 48.4 and 59.0 of the
100k, mi 16.7 and 27.3 of the 50k) comes just after one of the longest and hottest
climbs of the race, and we greet the runners with popsicles and whatever else they may
need.

Broken Arrow Skyrace 46k
The week before Western States, everyone wants to shake out their legs on a beautiful
2-loop course at Palisades Tahoe. Our aid station is in the Village, at the end of the first
loop, and you’d better believe we don’t want anyone to miss out on that second loop!

Western States Endurance Run
For the last Saturday of June, you can find 40-50 of us at the remote Last Chance aid
station (mi 43.3). Camping, medical, runner escort, drop bag valet, soup and
sandwiches, car wash, 2,000 lbs ice, and lots of signs – we’ve got a bit of everything, and we’ve been here since 1982 for this party on the trail.

Run for Amma, Castle Peak 100k
These races are on hiatus, but when they come back, so will we!
