Volunteering is one of the core values with the Stevens Creek Striders. We give back to our trails and local community through trail maintenance, aid station volunteering, volunteering at the Western States Endurance run, and much more. We also have plenty of volunteer opportunities to help run the club itself.
Aid station volunteers make trail races awesome! That’s why the Striders host aid stations at the Quicksilver 100K in San Jose, Broken Arrow Skyrace in Squaw Valley, and Castle Peak 100K in Truckee.
Western States Endurance Run
The Stevens Creek Striders have run the Last Chance Aid Station at Western States since 1981. We are proud to be the “most professional” aid stations along the course, providing runners with full service trail love longer than any other running club that volunteers with the race. Come camp out with us the night before for some extra good times.
We regularly schedule trail work at the Stevens Creek Reservoir. Everything from clearing poison oak and milk thistle, to smoothing out trails damaged by the rains.
